Residential Surveyor

Location: Surrey (Hybrid, Home or Office Based)

Salary: £50,000-£90,000 basic + expenses + bonus

An established independent Chartered Surveying practice is looking to appoint a Residential Surveyor to join its growing team across Surrey and the South.

Every new surveyor joining the business is given an Associate Director or Director title, recognising the importance of the role and providing excellent long-term career progression.

The practice has built an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality residential surveying work within a supportive, autonomous environment that avoids unnecessary micromanagement.

Working arrangements can be tailored to suit your preferences, whether home-based, office-based or hybrid.

The role

The workload can be tailored around your experience and interests and may include:

  • Building Surveys
  • Expert Witness work
  • Dilapidations
  • Defect Reports

The business carries out approximately 20 building surveys each day, providing a consistent pipeline of work and excellent job security.

Average fees for London Building Surveys exceed £1,200 + VAT , with surveyors generally completing one Building Survey per day or, depending on workload, up to two Home Buyer surveys.

Requirements
  • AssocRICS or MRICS
  • Residential surveying experience
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Ability to manage your own workload
  • Client-focused approach
