Ladies Sleepwear Designer Mat Cover - Supplier

We are seeking an experienced Ladies Sleepwear Designer to join our team on a maternity cover contract. This role requires a designer with proven experience within the sleepwear category, strong trend awareness, and a solid understanding of product development. The successful candidate will be confident designing commercially successful ranges and working collaboratively with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality products.

• Proven experience designing within the ladies' sleepwear category is essential.
• Experience developing and delivering commercially successful sleepwear ranges.
• Strong understanding of sleepwear fabrics, trims, garment construction, and finishing techniques.
• Good commercial awareness with the ability to balance trend, customer requirements, and product viability.
• Confident in identifying emerging trends and translating them into relevant and commercial sleepwear collections.
• Ability to create and present trend and product concepts to internal teams and customers.
• Good knowledge of the UK sleepwear market and key competitors.
• Comfortable working independently while collaborating effectively within a wider team.
• Print design experience would be advantageous but is not essential.

• Design and develop trend‑led ladies' sleepwear collections from concept through to production.
• Conduct seasonal trend research across colour, fabric, print, silhouette, and product innovation.
• Source and develop appropriate fabrics, trims, and finishes for the sleepwear category.
• Create and present trend, range, and product concepts.
• Work closely with product development, technical, sourcing, and merchandising teams to ensure products are commercially viable and production ready.
• Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify opportunities within the category.
• Maintain awareness of customer requirements and emerging consumer trends.
• Support customer meetings and presentations where required.

• Experienced sleepwear designer with strong category knowledge.
• Commercially minded with a passion for product development.
• Strong trend forecasting and design skills.
