Role Overview

Lecturer – Accounting & Finance (BA (Hons)) at Global Banking School, Academic/Canterbury Christ Church University (CCCU). Full‑time, Permanent, 40 hours per week. Salary: £55,000.

Location:

London, East London. Sponsorship not offered.

• Plan, deliver, and assess student work, ensuring all learning outcomes are met.
• Develop, update, and improve course materials.
• Use a variety of learning and teaching methods and materials.
• Engage in staff development activities, peer observations, meetings, and other administrative duties.
• Keep up to date with latest developments in the field and student support practices.
• Work towards objectives for student attendance, continuation, completion, satisfaction, and progression.

• Master’s degree in a relevant subject area (PhD desirable).
• Previous UK HE lecturing experience in the wider subject area.
• Extensive knowledge of relevant subject matter.
• Experience supervising student work, providing support and feedback.
• Accurate reporting and ability to maintain thorough and organized student records.
• Ability to work under pressure, plan, and prioritize workload to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and team‑working skills.
• Ability to work with diverse groups of people.

• Postgraduate Certificate of Academic Practice or equivalent teaching qualification (or commitment to enrol on a teaching programme during probationary period and complete within three years) or Fellowship of HEA (or international equivalent).
• Experience in design/development of academic or professional education programmes or equivalent.
