Health and Social Care Teacher – Outstanding School – Surrey

An Outstanding Ofsted-rated secondary school in Surrey seeks a dedicated and experienced Health and Social Care Teacher to join their vocational department. This is a full-time, permanent position, offering the chance to empower students with the knowledge and skills needed for careers in the caring professions, primarily at Key Stages 4 and 5.

• Plan and deliver engaging and practical lessons, preparing students for BTEC and/or other relevant vocational qualifications.
• Cover topics such as health and well-being, human lifespan development, and communication skills, fostering empathy and understanding of the sector.
• Assessing student progress, providing constructive feedback, and contributing to the Health and Social Care curriculum.

• Qualified Health and Social Care Teacher (QTS) with a relevant degree (e.g., Health and Social Care, Nursing, Social Work).
• Proven experience teaching Health and Social Care at the secondary level, particularly BTEC qualifications.
• Practical experience in a health or social care setting is desirable.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills are required.
