Employment

This award winning part residential school offers a full time position; part time applicants will also be considered. The role is term‑time only.

Shift Options

Monday‑to‑Friday only (up to 44.25 hours):

  • 06:45 – 13:30
  • 15:45 – 22:00
  • Long day split: 06:45 – 13:30 followed by 15:45 – 22:00

Monday‑to‑Sunday (up to 44.25 hours):

  • 06:45 – 13:30
  • 15:45 – 22:00
  • Long day split: 06:45 – 13:30 followed by 15:45 – 22:00
  • 12:00 – 22:00
  • 06:45 – 16:00
Setting Description

This children and young people school and residential setting supports learners aged 5‑25 years with Autism and other SEN needs. The environment is modern, welcoming, with on‑site therapies and individualised education and care plans. The values emphasise trust, empowerment, and confidence building.

Requirements
  • Relevant teaching assistant, childcare or adult care experience (desirable)
  • Experience working or supporting young adults or children with SEN or personal experience with SEN (desirable)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK (essential)
  • Setting cannot offer sponsorship
Responsibilities
  • Support young people with daily living skills and encouraging independence
  • Support learners with severe and complex needs
  • Build positive relationships that help young people feel safe and confident
  • Encourage participation in education, hobbies, recreation and community activities
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, healthcare professionals and families
