Learning Support Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated SEND Learning Support Assistant to join our team at a school in Salfords. This role is crucial in supporting the teacher with the development and education of children with special educational needs and disabilities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about helping children achieve their full potential and have experience in a similar role.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist in the delivery of education for specified children by participating in day-to-day learning activities.
• Support in planning and evaluating interventions, adapting teaching materials to meet the needs of specific children.
• Discuss with and report back to the teacher on the assessment of the child’s work and support with additional paperwork such as ISP writing and end of term level judgements.
• Carry out assessments related to interventions and contribute to the planning and delivery of interventions, including core subjects and life skills.
• Participate in CPD opportunities and contribute to multi-professional discussions regarding a child’s needs/progress.
• Work as part of a team to ensure the well-being, behaviour, personal development, and relevant medical needs of the children enhance their learning opportunities and life skills.
