Job Title: SEN Teacher
Location: Redhill, Surrey
Hours / Contract: Full time, permanent
Salary: £33,075 - £48,719 depending on experience

We are currently seeking a qualified and passionate Teacher to join a wonderful SEN school based in Redhill, Surrey. We are looking to hear from teachers from both Primary or Secondary or an SEN background.

This is a school supporting students of secondary age with learning and additional needs and supporting them to work to the best of their ability. Although students are offered access to some GCSE's and functional skills a lot of the students are working to a lower Key Stage, and therefore the school are very much based on providing a nurture and relationship based learning environment, tailored to each individual students needs.

The role:

As SEN Teacher you will:
  • Have experience/passion of working with pupils with Special Educational Needs, some of whom may present with emotional and mental health needs.
  • Be a developing classroom practitioner who motivates and inspires pupils to engage and achieve.
  • Have some experience of delivering a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum which enables pupils to embark upon a learning journey which meets their individual needs enabling them to reach their personal potential.
  • Have high expectations of achievement and behaviour and display continued commitment to raising standards whilst meeting the very individual needs of the pupils.
  • Be committed to breaking down barriers to learning and make learning fun for all.
  • Be passionate about the opportunities for pupils with Learning and Additional Needs (LAN) and be committed to inclusion.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider Multidisciplinary team to develop appropriate provision for pupils within the school.
  • Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work with pupils, parents, staff and Governors and all stakeholders engaged with the school.
Skills / Qualifications:

Hold ECT/QTS/QTLS status
Experience working with children with complex needs including autism, learning disabilities, and SEMH needs
