Salary: £29,500 + Door to Door overtime

Role Overview

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Junior Engineer to join our growing service team covering the south of engand. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a practical mindset who is looking to develop a long-term career within the commercial catering industry.

The successful candidate will primarily support the delivery of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) across a range of commercial catering equipment. Full training and ongoing support will be provided by experienced engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled PPM visits at customer sites under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Inspect, clean and maintain commercial catering equipment in line with manufacturer recommendations and company procedures.
• Complete service reports accurately using company systems.
• Identify signs of wear, damage or potential equipment failures and report findings to the Service Manager.
• Ensure all work is completed safely and in accordance with company health and safety policies.
• Maintain company tools, equipment and vehicle to a professional standard.
• Deliver excellent customer service and build positive relationships with clients.
• Attend manufacturer and in-house training courses to develop technical knowledge and skills.
• Provide support to the wider engineering team as required.

The role will involve working on a variety of commercial catering equipment, including:

• Ovens
• Combination ovens
• Food preparation equipment

Skills & Experience

Essential:

• A keen interest in engineering and a willingness to learn.
• Good practical skills and a hands-on approach to work.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Full UK driving licence.
