Key Responsibilities
  • Provide high‑quality, independent financial advice across pensions, investments, protection, and estate planning.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, delivering tailored financial plans and regular reviews.
  • Clearly explain complex financial concepts and present compelling Financial Plans and client propositions.
  • Achieve agreed new business and income targets, identifying opportunities within new and existing clients.
  • Support business development initiatives and collaborate with Menzies LLP colleagues.
  • Ensure full compliance with FCA regulations, internal policies, and CPD requirements.
  • Maintain accurate client records and high professional standards.
  • Work closely with paraplanners, administrators, and internal teams to deliver exceptional client service.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate
  • Proven experience in financial planning or wealth management within an IFA or advisory environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret and explain complex financial information.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong organisational and record‑keeping abilities.
  • Ability to build strong and trusted relationships with clients and colleagues at all levels.
  • A professional, confidential, and client‑centric approach.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.
  • Good IT proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Fluent written and spoken English.
  • Minimum – Diploma in regulated Financial Planning or equivalent; desirable Advanced Diploma or working towards it.
