Bar​/Front of House Supervisor - Thames Ditton

Role and Responsibilities

• Members: Build relationships with members, address their feedback, and ensure a personalised and friendly experience. Handle complaints and follow up with relevant manager.
• Customer Service: Maintain a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, handle queries, and ensure cleanliness and compliance.
• People: Team Leadership – Train, support, and motivate staff to deliver outstanding service.
• People: Communication & Reporting – Provide shift reports, update management, and liaise with event organisers.
• People: Conduct performance Management reviews with Bar Manager.
• Operations: Health & Safety Compliance – Maintain high standards of health and safety, ensuring all policies are followed.
• Operations: Daily Operations – Supervise bar service, ensuring efficiency and excellent customer experience. Act as the lead when the manager is absent.
• Operations: Closing & Events – Oversee bar operations during events, manage closing duties, secure the premises, and follow all procedures.
• Operations: Stock & Inventory – Monitor stock levels, restock as needed, and ensure vending machines are maintained.
• Operations: Compliance & Safety – Ensure adherence to licensing laws, health & safety regulations, and company policies.
• Finance: Maintain excellent stock control. Work with Bar Manager to maintain budgets and cost control.

• Previous bar or hospitality experience, ideally in a supervisory role.
• Friendly and approachable attitude with great customer service skills.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Attention to detail, especially with stock control and health & safety.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and during events.
