Position: Community Payback Supervisor Outcome in a Day) - Including weekends (KSS)

Overview

Community Payback Supervisor based in Surrey (Guildford, Redhill, Staines). The role includes travel to other offices in the region; a travel allowance will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and motivate small teams of offenders to complete unpaid community work hours.
  • Plan and oversee tasks such as clearing overgrowth, restoring community facilities, planting trees, laying flowerbeds, litter picking and graffiti removal.
  • Conduct site supervision, ensuring tasks are completed to high standards.
  • Assist with driving service vehicles to transport people and equipment, when required.
Working Pattern

Flexible full‑time (37 hours) or part‑time options with a fixed base location. Start times from 7.00 AM, finish  PM. Must include at least one weekend day in each week; weekend work may be requested based on operational requirements. Weekend hours are paid at a 50 % higher rate.

Requirements
  • Full UK manual driving licence (automatic licence not accepted).
  • Right to work in the UK.
  • Good communication skills, empathy and ability to lead small teams.
Pay and Progression

Starting salary of £28,064 for full‑time roles (pro‑rated for part‑time). Pay progression available through a Competency Based Framework in line with Civil Service pay guidance.
