Overview

Location: Lingfield, Surrey

Salary: £12.71 - £13.65 per hour (depending on qualifications and experience)

Hours: Full Time & Part Time Opportunities (up to 44.25hrs), Term-Time Only (39 weeks per year), Monday-to-Friday-only

About the role

We are looking for a Residential Support Worker to join St Piers. This is a term-time only position with the option for Monday to Friday-only working, offering work-life balance aligned with school terms. Training and support will be provided to help you build a rewarding career in residential care for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities.

What does a Residential Support Worker do?

No two days are ever the same. You might:

  • Support a young person with daily living skills and encourage independence.
  • Provide personal care where required, always with dignity, respect and compassion.
  • Build positive relationships that help young people feel safe and confident.
  • Encourage participation in education, hobbies, recreation and community activities.
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, healthcare professionals and families.
  • Record important information and contribute to care plans.
  • Celebrate progress and recognise every achievement, no matter how small.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting young people with daily living skills and encouraging independence.

  • 06.45 to 13.30
  • 15.45 to 22.00
  • Long day, split shift option of 06.45 to 13.30 followed by 15.45 to 22.00

We are happy to discuss slight amendments to these shifts.
