Senior​/Associate Transport Planner

Our client is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior / Associate Transport Planner to join their busy Horley team. You’ll run a variety of projects end-to-end, liaise directly with clients and local authorities, and play a key role in developing junior planners—all while contributing to larger, complex schemes across the South and wider UK.

Lead delivery: Own small–medium projects from inception to completion, ensuring robust technical outputs, budgets and programmes.

Shape major schemes: Contribute to large multidisciplinary projects, coordinating with external consultants and our client’s in-house teams.

Client-facing: Attend meetings, present findings and negotiate with local highway authorities and stakeholders.

Develop others: Mentor and support junior team members, fostering best practice and knowledge sharing.

Experience: 4+ years in transport planning (public or private sector).

Tools & tech: Practical knowledge of TEMPro
, ARCADY
, PICADY
, Lin Sig
, TRICS and Excel (essential).

Qualifications: Master’s in Transport Planning (desirable, not essential).

Professional bodies: Membership of CIHT and/or CILT (desirable, not essential).

Licence: Full, clean UK driving licence.
