This Field Director role is integral to managing archaeological projects and requires a Bachelor’s degree along with strong consulting skills. You will lead field crews, partake in excavations, and ensure compliance with regulations. Travel and living expenses are provided, giving you the opportunity to work across varied sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Direct archaeological field programs and crews
• Conduct effective archaeological surveys and excavations
• Prepare and review archaeological reports
• Engage in analysis and curation of archaeological artifacts
• Mentor junior personnel and enhance team capabilities
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Archaeology or a related discipline
• 3+ years in BC consulting archaeology
• Field Director designation from the Archaeology Branch
• Familiarity with the Heritage Conservation Act
• Valid Class 5 driver's license without violations
