Salary: Circa £34,000 per annum

Talent is delighted to be recruiting a Secretariat & Communications Coordinator for a friendly and growing organisation based in Lewes.
Our client provides conference management and administrative services to professional membership organisations, primarily within the healthcare sector.
This varied position combines membership administration, communications, marketing and event coordination. It would suit a highly organised and detail-focused individual who enjoys managing a varied workload and building positive relationships with members, speakers, sponsors and other stakeholders.
Key responsibilitiesYour responsibilities will include:
- Supporting membership renewals and maintaining accurate membership records
- Responding professionally to member enquiries
- Coordinating educational events, webinars, courses and conferences
- Processing registrations, payments and certifications
- Liaising with speakers, sponsors, exhibitors and other stakeholders
- Creating engaging content for websites, email campaigns and social media
- Managing social media activity and supporting marketing campaigns
- Setting up and maintaining course microsites and registration systems
- Preparing reports covering membership, training numbers and income
- Helping to deliver online events for audiences of approximately 100–400 people using Microsoft Teams and Zoom
- Providing general administrative and secretarial support across the organisation
We are looking for someone who has:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities
- The confidence to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
- The ability to manage competing deadlines and priorities
- Good Microsoft Office skills
- Experience creating content and managing social media
- A proactive, collaborative and solutions-focused approach
- The ability to work independently and use initiative
Experience using Word Press, Mailchimp, Events Air, Member Press or similar membership and event-management platforms would be advantageous. However, full consideration will be given to candidates who are confident learning new systems.
Working arrangementsThis is a hybrid position, with a minimum of two days each week based in the Lewes office.
Flexible working is available outside the organisation’s core hours of 10am–3pm. Some travel and occasional overnight stays will be required to support UK events and conferences.
