Specialist SEND & SEMH Teaching - East

I am currently recruiting for a range of specialist SEND and SEMH teaching roles across East Sussex
, working with schools that require experienced, reflective and emotionally aware practitioners.

These settings support pupils who may not thrive within mainstream provision and who require teachers capable of balancing curriculum delivery with emotional regulation and behavioural consistency.

This is not traditional classroom teaching. It is education that requires adaptability, clarity and relational strength.

• Small class teaching within SEMH settings
• Adapted curriculum delivery
• Collaborative planning with pastoral and support teams
• Structured behaviour management frameworks
• Teaching pupils with complex emotional needs
• Long‑term and ongoing placements

These schools value teachers who prioritise relationships and regulation alongside academic progress.

• Hold QTS or are working towards it
• Have experience within SEND, SEMH or alternative provision
• Remain calm, reflective and consistent
• See behaviour as a form of communication
• Are committed to working within specialist settings long-term
