Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Conquest Estates Department at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust as a Maintenance Craftsperson, working as part of the Estates Operational Team to support the day‑to‑day operational maintenance of the ESHT estate. The role involves diagnostic, repair, testing and preventive maintenance tasks requiring specific training on the complex building services, plant and equipment of a modern health estate as directed.

• Undertake diagnostic, repair, testing and preventive maintenance tasks on building services, plant and equipment.
• Act as Competent Person as defined within Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) where appropriate and designated.
• Deliver an organised, highly efficient service, demonstrate innovative thinking and make decisions independently.
• Contribute to the development and delivery of service improvements, helping to ensure the department is well positioned for the future.

• Relevant knowledge and practical experience in a mechanical engineering or plumbing role.
• Successfully completed a recognised mechanical or plumbing apprenticeship (NVQ Level
  3) or an equivalent qualification.
• Experienced and motivated Mechanical Engineer or Plumber.
