Main responsibilities:
Responsibility for assisting and supporting the Portfolio Management Team with regulatory risk, rating and profitability analysis of the company’s client portfolio.
Taking prime responsibility for conducting Annual Client Reviews and Repayment Analysis.
Supporting Portfolio Managers in the completion of credit applications/modifications.
Achievement of specific annual Business KPI’s and personal Goals and Objectives.
Supporting the Credit Risk & Portfolio Directors with required reporting deadlines for receipt of client financial information and preparation of internal reporting.
General and job specific responsibilities:
Ensure you are up to date with the company’s Policy and Regulatory and system requirements via information presented in the company’s Intranet whilst liaising with Compliance colleagues in the UK and US.Responsibility for understanding of critical risk, compliance and operational systems and processes (to include I Factor, Capital Stream/Atlas, Risk Rating Scorecards, HRCI, Leveraged Lending/Repayment Analysis/Enterprise Value and Economic Profit).Analysis of audited and management accounts, and forecasts in conjunction with preparation/updating of the company’s financial models.
Review covenant compliance.
Completion of calculations for leverage (LL), higher risk (HRCI), economic profit (EP) and preparation of information to enable enterprise valuations (EV) using latest Regulatory tools and formulae.
Timely and accurate completion of written reports to present review of annual financial statements and YTD management accounts, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet and Cash Flow with comparisons to include prior period and forecasts, with explanations of key components, events and regulatory LL, HRCI, EP and EV able to identify key financial risks and suggest/recommend appropriate mitigation. Identify need for, and as applicable, complete Repayment conjunction with the above, preparation and maintenance of records to be able to present reporting compliance at any given point in time.
Submit periodic financial statements to the company’s Spreading Team and review of output to ensure accurate representation and complete Risk Rating Scorecards as needed.
Assist with the completion of client credit applications/modifications, and (where applicable) quarterly portfolio reviews.
Attendance and involvement on telephone calls and meetings (in conjunction with Portfolio Managers) with clients, advisors, lawyers and other relevant parties, as appropriate.
Update functionality of the company’s in-house financial modelling tool as necessary to enhance Portfolio Management output.
Maintain and update the Client Availability Dashboard and participate in other bespoke projects that seek to enhance the company’s management of risk and addition to the duties and responsibilities listed, the Job holder will be required to perform other duties assigned by their Line Manager from time to time.
Skills & Competencies required for the role:2-3 years relevant accounting experience, strong preference being for a fully qualified accountant, ACA or ACCA.Strong financial analysis skills with the ability to utilise financial modelling to interpret profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow statements and to articulate both verbally and in written work.
Strong report writing skills.
Strong Microsoft office skills, notably Word and Excel, and preferably PowerPoint.
Ability to communicate a balanced view of situations and consider alternative viewpoints.
Proven track record of working to tight deadlines and ability to prioritise.
An understanding of Asset Based lending/Leveraged Finance and associated risk factors.
