Locum Physio – Start April 2018

Sirona Medical is looking for a locum Physiotherapist to cover the role below located in East Sussex, this position is located in a wonderful coastal town. This a long term locum role which is likely to run until the end of 2018 and possibly into 2019 so a great opportunity to earn some great money in a long term stable locum role.

The hourly rate is brilliant and our client will accept a part time (3 days per week) or a full time locum (5 days per week).

• To cover Physiotherapy duties in an Inpatient Physiotherapy Unit
• To cover day services (if referred)
• To cover outpatients (if referred)
• To resume / develop gym service
• To cover breathlessness clinic
• To work with volunteers / junior members of staff to facilitate service development
• You may work alone or in a team alongside health and / or social care professionals. Depending on where you work, this could include occupational therapists, GPs, health visitors, district nurses and social workers. You may supervise the work of support workers such as physiotherapy assistants.

• HCPC Membership
• Range of clinical experience in different settings including Respiratory, Neuro, MSK, Orthopaedics, Care of the Elderly Physiotherapy
• Clinical experience in adaptive rehabilitation / goal setting / discharge planning
• Experience working as part of multi-disciplinary Therapy Team
• Ability to work under pressure and be patient-centred
• Life skills – gentle, resilient, patient advocate, good time management, flexible
• Personality and outlook is key

• CSP Membership
• ACPOPC / Agile membership – these are the Physio oncology / palliative care and care of the elderly special interest groups
• Clinical experience in palliative care
• Experience working with therapy assistants / volunteers
• Personality and outlook is key
