Critical Care Audit Nurse - Band 6

Critical Care is fully committed to audit and provides a dynamic environment conducive to gaining additional knowledge and skills.

The post involves working closely with the Band 7 - Audit Lead Nurse and other audit nurses, supporting and promoting a cohesive audit team. The post holder will be responsible for the provision of high quality data and ensuring that this is used to maintain quality care to the benefit of the critically ill patient.

• Work in a high profile team with varied skills and experience.
• Input and validate data for submission internally to management and externally to ICNARC, NHSE and the Critical Care Network.
• Undertake unit audits and use this data to produce reports for submission to the management team.
• Serve as a committed, exemplary role model within the audit process.

• Registered nurse with at least 2 years critical care experience.
• Completion of critical care course.
• Motivated and passionate about audit with excellent IT/computer and interpersonal skills.
• High levels of concentration and ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, high acuity environment.

• Staff development and enrolment in the NHS pension scheme.
