As a Children’s Social Worker, you will play a vital role in assessing need and risk for vulnerable children and their families. You will work to achieve positive change and improved outcomes through high-quality assessments, care planning, and (where appropriate) child protection investigations. The aim is to prevent family separation wherever possible while ensuring children and young people are safeguarded in line with legislation, policies, and procedures.

• Undertake high-quality assessments and care planning
• Carry out child protection investigations
• Complete direct work with children and families, identify risk and implement effective safeguarding measures
• Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners
• Ensure children and young people are adequately protected in line with statutory requirements
