Adult Social Worker needed for our Mental Health team in East Sussex, paying £32 ph!

• Location: Hillrise,East Sussex
• Pay Rate: £32.00 per hour
• Contract Type: Locum / Temporary

We are seeking an experienced and confident Adult Social Worker to join a dynamic Mental Health team in East Sussex. The successful candidate will be able to undertake a full range of social work tasks independently, demonstrating the ability to manage complex situations while working within relevant legislation and statutory frameworks.

• Undertake a range of social work tasks including investigation of adult safeguarding concerns, carrying out assessments of need, analysis and care planning, risk assessment and management, commissioning support, and case reviews.
• Identify, respond to, and appropriately report children’s and adults’ safeguarding concerns. Liaise with key partner agencies to gather information and act as Investigating Officer where delegated.
• Work within legal frameworks, statutory guidance, and departmental policies to support outcome-focused planning for adults.
• Work directly with adults in need, carers, families, and communities to support informed decision-making, enabling individuals to express their needs and participate fully in care planning.
• Collaborate with partner agencies, service users, carers, and families to build sustainable community support networks and help individuals maintain independence for as long as possible.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records and prepare professional reports for panels, meetings, and court proceedings where required.
• Support the professional development of others by contributing to the learning of social work students, newly qualified social workers, and colleagues through mentoring and group supervision.
• Demonstrate a commitment to continuous professional development and undertake relevant training aligned with the Professional Capability Framework.

• Qualified Social Worker with relevant Social Work qualification.
• Registered with Social Work England.
• Proven experience working with adults within statutory services.
• Strong knowledge of relevant legislation, safeguarding procedures, and best practice.
• Ability to manage complex caseloads and work autonomously.
• Excellent assessment, communication, and report-writing skills.
