Position OverviewWe are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our Tool & Die team. This role involves setting up and operating 3-axis CNC machines to manufacture high-quality, custom, one-of-a-kind parts and components. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, the ability to interpret complex blueprints and schematics, and a commitment to precision and safety.
Essential Job Functions- Set up and operate 3-axis CNC machines to produce precision parts and components.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to ensure accuracy.
- Perform quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools to verify parts meet specifications.
- Ability to complete some programming of the machine to make edits and offsets.
- Conduct routine machine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment at all times.
- Adhere to company safety standards and maintain a strong attendance record.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 3 years of experience machining custom, one-of-a-kind parts in a CNC environment (low-volume, high-complexity parts).
- Proficient in G-code programming and CNC machine operation.
- Strong knowledge of cutting tool selection for optimal efficiency and accuracy.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively to achieve team goals.
- Effective communication skills for sharing instructions and feedback.
- Positive, professional attitude and strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience programming in CAD/CAM software, preferably Mastercam for CNC programming.
Ability to lift up to 50 LBS, lift twist, grab, stand (up to 8 to 10 hours), walk, push, pull, use both hands to lift and lower materials, and perform all other essential duties with or without reasonable accommodations.
