** Job Summary
** As a skilled Ironworker Fabricator you'll be responsible for welding and fabricating structural components for equipment and plant systems, ensuring durability and safety in demanding environments. Your work will directly impact the reliability and performance of mining operations, as you'll be involved in both maintenance and new construction projects. ** What Fabricators Do
*** Perform various welding methods on equipment and plant structures to repair or fabricate parts, ensuring all welds meet safety and quality standards
* Inspect, repair, and maintain mining equipment, including conveyors, crushers, and other heavy machinery
* Fabricate and repair structural plant components such as supports, platforms, and equipment mounts
* Follow company safety procedures and applicable regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
* Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine fabrication and welding requirements
* Troubleshoot equipment structural issues and develop effective repair solutions
* Work closely with maintenance personnel, plant operators, and engineers to assess repair needs and prioritize work
* Support preventative maintenance and inspection programs to reduce breakdowns and extend equipment life
* Provide welding and fabrication support for new construction, plant modifications, and expansion projects
* Operate cranes, forklifts, and other material-handling equipment as needed to complete fabrication and repair work
