Reception Teaching Assistant

Our client based in Wylde Green is looking to recruit an experienced and enthusiastic NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant at a two‑form entry Primary school. The role starts in September and will be ongoing, possibly permanent for the right candidate.

• Support the classroom teacher in delivering the primary curriculum
• Assist children with their learning activities and progress
• Help maintain a healthy, safe and inclusive environment in line with safeguarding policies
• Encourage positive behaviour and high expectations for all children
• Work effectively as part of a team and collaborate with teachers, pupils and parents
• Willingness to go the extra mile to improve outcomes for all children

• NVQ Level 2 or 3 (trained) in teaching support
• Minimum 12 months of experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
• Good oral, written and numeracy skills
• Full understanding of safeguarding minors and how children learn and progress
• Ability to enthuse and inspire children and maintain high expectations
• Team working and strong commitment to improving outcomes for all children
