Times/Patterns: Wednesday 19:00-21:00
Salary: Grade 7 (SCP 33)
We are seeking an ESOL tutor to deliver the Ascentis Entry 3 Writing Award to adult learners. The role focuses on developing learners’ practical English writing skills for everyday life, work, and study. To support learners in building confidence and accuracy in written English so they can communicate effectively in real‑life situations.
The Tutor Will Help Learners To- Develop writing skills at Entry 3 level
- Write clear sentences and short texts
- Improve spelling, punctuation, and grammar
- Complete everyday writing tasks such as forms, emails, and messages
- Prepare for the Ascentis Entry 3 Writing Award assessment
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., CELTA, CertTESOL, PGCE, or equivalent).
- Experience teaching ESOL Writing at Entry 3 level
- Good knowledge of the Ascentis ESOL assessment framework (or similar awarding bodies)
- Experience supporting adult learners from diverse backgrounds
- Strong literacy, communication, and classroom management skills
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging, learner‑centred lessons
