This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Teacher of Music or an existing Head of Music to join our thriving department and school, which caters for keen, highly able students. Key responsibilities for the role include:
Teaching Music across Key Stages 3-5.
Acting as a form tutor.
Organising and leading extra-curricular ensembles, performances, concerts, and other musical activities.
Contributing to the continued development of the Music curriculum at Key Stages 3, 4, and 5.
Supporting the department's extensive programme of concerts, workshops, trips, and collaborative productions.
Working closely with our team of peripatetic instrumental and vocal teachers to support students' musical development.
Contributing to the wider life of the school and promoting participation and excellence in music.
The successful candidate will:
Be a qualified teacher with a proven track record of successful Music teaching.
Demonstrate excellent musicianship and strong subject knowledge across performing, composing, and listening.
Show evidence of continuing professional development and a commitment to educational excellence.
Have an awareness and understanding of curriculum development and assessment in Music, including the Edexcel GCSE and A-Level specifications.
Be passionate about fostering creativity, performance, leadership, and collaboration through music.
Have the enthusiasm and organisational skills to contribute to the department's extensive extra-curricular programme.
