Discover the Role
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering a high standard of service to existing client entities. You will develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of fund and corporate structures, alongside in-depth knowledge of each fund’s investments and investor base. You will work closely with the Senior Manager and Associate Director responsible for your assigned portfolio, acting as the key technical expert within each client fund team and ensuring the consistent application of best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Act as the primary client contact for all financial reporting and accounting matters.
- Manage the audit process: conduct detailed planning, serve as a central point of contact for all audit queries, ensure appropriate approaches are adopted, resolve issues expediently, and keep all parties informed of status to ensure timely clearance for approving accounts and ancillary documentation.
- Plan workload, prioritise and manage own time to deliver consistent, high‑standard client service.
- Maintain proactive communication to keep Senior Accountant Managers informed of status and allow them to accommodate periods of absence and/or peak demand.
- Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in all work to ensure the highest level of service and accurate, efficient accounting data within agreed time frames.
- Review all work performed by junior team members relating to their assigned portfolio.
- Collaborate closely with counterparts on other teams to ensure seamless and coordinated client service delivery.
- Perform any other ad hoc duties or projects as requested.
- Hold a professional accountancy qualification.
- 3–5 years’ experience in a financial reporting team or audit firm (preferably PERE, though other fund types acceptable).
- Detailed knowledge and experience in fund accounting (preferably PERE, other fund types acceptable).
- Extensive experience in financial statement preparation.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills, confident in interacting with clients, auditors, and senior leadership.
- Demonstrated capability to lead, coach, and develop team members.
- Strong organisational skills, able to meet tight deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, proactive in identifying efficiencies and process improvements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely.
