Mainduties
As a Senior Rotational Clinical Pharmacist, you will work across rotations including critical care, paediatrics, surgery, and various medical specialties. Your daily responsibilities include ward‑based tasks, chart reviews, clinical interventions, optimisation of medication regimens with the medical team, patient education on medications, screening discharge prescriptions, and supporting junior or trainee pharmacists. You will also lead audits and quality improvement initiatives.
During six‑month rotations you will provide a comprehensive pharmaceutical service, developing expert level knowledge and managerial skills towards agreed objectives.
This full‑time position requires 37.5 hours per week, including seven‑day working and on‑call rosters. Flexible arrangements such as part‑time, job‑share, or flexible working are welcome.

Person Specification Essential Qualifications- Professional qualification – General Pharmaceutical Council registration
- Certificate in clinical pharmacy (at least 12 months completed and working towards 18 months)
- MSc in Clinical Pharmacy Practice or equivalent; management training
- Full Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent
- Management training
- Post‑registration UK hospital experience (minimum 18 months)
- Experience providing services to a broad variety of patients
- Evidence of good clinical knowledge and skills
- Management of staff / staff appraisal
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
- Good organisational skills, for self and others
- Ability to motivate self and others
- Drug usage review / evaluation / audit experience
- Clinical governance and risk management
- Experience contributing to or leading the writing of trust guidelines, policies and procedures
