We have a fantastic opportunity for a highly motivated individual to join us within our Nuclear Medicine department. The department has undergone refurbishment works and installed the latest technology highly specialised equipment including a brand new NM/CT 870 CZT digital SPECT/CT system. The post holder will be trained in all aspect of Nuclear Medicine services including DEXA scanning, you will form part of a friendly, multi-disciplinary team of physicists, technologists, nurses, radiologists and admin staff.
The department provides the following services:
- Full range of Nuclear Medicine diagnostic scans
- GFR services
- Ultrasound parathyroid clinics
This post would suit a technologist or radiographer with an interest in Nuclear Medicine.
Main duties of the job- Deputise for the Modality Superintendent as required in the running of the work area.
- Act as role model and support junior colleagues in the work area.
- Contribute effectively to the delivery of an efficient and responsive Radiology service and make recommendations on service improvement.
We are looking to recruit an exceptionally motivated Radiographer or Nuclear Medicine Clinical Technologist at Band 6 to join our friendly and dynamic team. The Radiographer/Clinical Technologist will be expected to provide technical support to the DXA service but also across the full range of Nuclear Medicine Services. This is an exciting opportunity to take part in a currently fast developing setting.
Nuclear Medicine at St Helier is a friendly and progressive service. Continuing professional development of all staff is encouraged and supported. Full training will be provided to suitable candidates.

Person Specification Qualifications and Further Training- DCR or BSc (Hons) in Radiography/ Clinical Technologist
- HCPC or RCT Registration
- Record of CPD activities
- Cross sectional experience
- Greater than 18 months post graduate experience
- Evidence of NHS working
- Wide experience of all Nuclear Medicine procedures
- Pro-active in own learning and development
- Attendance at study days
- Expert knowledge of current practice and proven technical skills in clinical Nuclear Medicine, underpinned by theory and practice.
- Effective communication and organisational skills with all staff and users of the service
- Knowledge of Quality Assurance and Health and Safety related to Radiology
- Ability to organise and prioritise workload
- Knowledge of clinical governance, risk management and audit
