An opportunity has become available to join Epsom and St. Helier University Hospitals NHS Trust as a static Band 6 Occupational Therapist within the Acute Therapies team. We are seeking a motivated and committed individual to join this static position at Epsom Hospital, with the opportunity to develop expertise in a specialist area and to support the Band 7 in team development activities. This role is suitable for an experienced Band 6 therapist or a Band 5 therapist aspiring to progress professionally through a developmental opportunity. The Trust places a strong emphasis on staff support and professional development, fostering continuous learning and growth.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be responsible for assessment, treatment planning and intervention delivery for patients referred to their caseload. The post holder will be required to supervise junior staff, technicians, assistants and students as appropriate. They will be expected to participate in development and monitoring of service standards and to assist in the running of the day to day service, and participate in the weekend working rota.
