CPN Dual Diagnosis Substance Misuse

Location: Beddington

We are urgently looking for an experienced locum Substance Misuse/Dual Diagnosis (Mental Health) to join our client's team in West Midlands. If you are interested, please read the details below:

Hours:

9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week) Dates: ASAP 6 months (Temporary Contract, will be reviewed after 6 months) Pay Rate: depending on the experience, between £29 to £34/hr (PAYE) umbrella options are also available. Your new role Undertake mental health assessments for service users who present with co-existing mental health and substance misuse problems

Review service users presenting to services and undertake specialist mental health assessments as required.

Case management.

To undertake Nurse Alcohol Assessments and determine safe detoxification.

Assist in the titration process for opiate service users.

To provide screening for BBV, through dry blood spot testing.

Offer wound care assessment and basic wound dressing to service users. Essential Qualifications and Experience Current NMC registration as RMN (Mental Health Nurse)
Previous experience of working in substance misuse and mental health settings

Experience of working with people with co-morbid mental health and substance misuse problems.

Experience of managing a caseload of clients with complex needs.

Knowledge of and skills in appropriate therapeutic interventions for working with people with dual diagnosis.
