Job overviewBand 8A Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist - Self Harm & Risk Case Management (CAMHS)
Sutton CAMHS | 30 hours per week | Fixed term

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Mental Health Nurse to join Sutton CAMHS as a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist leading on self-harm and risk case management.
The successful candidate will provide specialist assessment, formulation and intervention for children and young people presenting with self-harm, suicidal ideation, emotional dysregulation and complex risk. They will offer consultation and clinical leadership across the service, support safeguarding and risk management processes, provide supervision to colleagues, and contribute to service development.
Main duties of the jobWe are particularly interested in applicants with skills and experience in Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) or delivering DBT-informed interventions. This role will support the development of psychologically informed practice across the service and promote evidence-based approaches to managing risk and emotional distress.
Applicants must have:
Current NMC registration as a Registered Mental Health Nurse.
Extensive experience working with self-harm, suicidality and complex risk.
Strong risk assessment, formulation and care planning skills.
Experience of clinical leadership and supervision.
DBT training or experience delivering DBT-informed interventions.
