Meter Reader – Kingston, Sutton & South-West London Locations:
Kingston upon Thames, Sutton, Epsom and surrounding South-West London areas Do you enjoy working with people, spending time outdoors and having the freedom to manage your own working day? Our client is looking for Meter Readers across Kingston, Sutton, Epsom and surrounding South-West London areas . This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is self-motivated, enjoys working independently and doesn't want to be confined to a traditional 9–5 office environment.

The role As a Meter Reader, you'll visit customers across your allocated area to collect accurate readings from gas and electric meters using a hand-held electronic device and other equipment. The information you collect helps ensure customers receive accurate and up-to-date bills. You'll have a great deal of independence within the role, including planning your route and managing your daily and weekly workload to achieve the targets set by your Field Delivery Manager.

You'll spend much of your working day outdoors and on the move. Some properties may require longer walks, so this is a great role if you enjoy keeping active. Working hours Full-time:
Flexible working between 8am–8pm, Monday–Sunday , with the option to work 40, 42 or 45 hours per week . Part-time:
Friday: 4pm–8pm Saturday–Sunday: 10am–6pm What we're looking for A full UK driving licence Excellent customer service skills Friendly, approachable and professional manner Physically fit and comfortable spending your working day outdoors Self-motivated and able to work independently Able to plan and manage your own workload effectively Comfortable working towards targets Flexible approach to tasks and working Ability to work to timescales and under pressure Ability to identify and report dangerous meter installations or suspected signs of tampering Able to meet screening and vetting standards and pass a DBS check No previous experience is necessary as full training will be provided.

Training Your first week will be fully paid and includes: 2 days of office-based training 3 days of field training Uniform provided during induction Parking expenses at the training location can be claimed back – please keep your receipts Please dress smart casual for your initial training.
