Attendance Officer | Sutton | September Start

About the Attendance Officer role
  • Monitor daily attendance and maintain accurate records using BROMCOM.
  • Contact parents regarding absences and attendance concerns.
  • Carry out home visits to engage families and remove barriers to attendance.
  • Produce attendance reports and support statutory attendance procedures.
  • Work closely with pastoral teams and external agencies to improve attendance.
  • Identify safeguarding concerns and respond appropriately.
  • Help create a culture where every student attends, engages and succeeds.
Job Requirements
  • Excellent organisation, communication and relationship-building skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities with accuracy and professionalism.
  • A resilient, proactive approach and the confidence to work with families.
  • A genuine commitment to safeguarding and improving outcomes for young people.
  • Ideally previous experience in a school attendance or administration role.
  • Ideally strong knowledge or prior experience using BROMCOM and Microsoft Office.
