Financial Accountant

3-Month Contract | £55,000 - £60,000 (pro-rata) | Hybrid - 3 days office / 2 days home

Strong potential to extend to 6 months and possibly go permanent. We re supporting a well-established business that requires an experienced Financial Accountant to join the team on an initial 3-month contract, with a clear opportunity to extend and potential to convert to a permanent role for the right person. This is a hands-on, technical role and would suit a qualified accountant with a practice background and previous manufacturing experience, who can hit the ground running.

• Preparation and review of monthly management accounts
• Full balance sheet ownership, reconciliations and review
• Supporting statutory reporting and year-end processes
• Liaising with auditors and responding to audit queries
• Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
• Supporting process improvements and documentation
• Ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting
• VAT
• Working closely with operational teams in a manufacturing environment

• Fully qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA)
• Practice-trained (ideal), with strong technical accounting exposure
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Strong Excel skills and excellent attention to detail
• Able to work autonomously and adapt quickly

• £55,000 - £60,000 salary
• Hybrid working: 3 days in the office / 2 days from home
• Initial 3-month contract, with strong extension potential
• Opportunity to move into a permanent role
