Overview
At Bupa Dental Care Total Orthodontics Sutton Coldfield, we are focused on helping people gain confidence through high-quality orthodontic care. We are seeking a warm, organized and patient-focused Treatment Co-ordinator (TCO) to be the welcoming face of our specialist orthodontic practice. The TCO will build relationships, deliver excellent service, and guide patients through important healthcare decisions.
Responsibilities- Welcome and support patients throughout their treatment journey.
- Conduct patient consultations and explain treatment options clearly and confidently.
- Help patients understand treatment plans and financing options.
- Build strong patient relationships and deliver an outstanding experience.
- Work closely with clinicians and the practice team to ensure smooth patient journeys.
- Manage enquiries and support appointment conversion opportunities.
- Maintain accurate patient records and follow-up communications.
- Be the first point of contact for new private patients to the practice and for existing patients expressing interest in specialist treatments.
- Confidently discuss treatment and fees involved and deliver high-quality service to ensure patient satisfaction and maximum contribution to practice efficiency and profitability.
- Champion customer satisfaction and coach team members on best practice.
- Coordinate dentist appointments throughout the treatment plan.
- Establish and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the practice team.
- Play a key role in the practice leadership team, supporting and deputising for the Practice Manager.
- Previous dental, orthodontic or healthcare experience (preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A confident and professional approach.
- Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
- A passion for customer service and patient care.
- The ability to build trust and rapport quickly.
- Experience in treatment coordination or sales/customer engagement is advantageous but not essential.
- Extensive clinical knowledge of treatments provided within a healthcare setting is desirable.
- Strong and confident communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly understand and communicate complex treatment plans, procedures and requirements.
- Previous experience delivering outstanding service in a customer-facing role.
- Proven strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to deal with a broad range of people.
- CQC/GDC registration and knowledge of dental practice management systems is desirable.
