SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) – 1:1 Support
Location: Sutton Coldfield
Duration: Full time, ongoing
Salary: £85 – £100 per day

. Students have a range of needs, including cognition and learning difficulties, physical disabilities, and complex health conditions.
As an SEN TA
, you will be a key member of the classroom team
, ensuring students receive support that assists them to achieve their full potential. Responsibilities will include:
- Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions to students with additional needs
- Supporting teachers with creative lesson preparation, classroom organisation, and engaging displays
- Building trusting, nurturing relationships with students to encourage independence and confidence
- Acting as a positive role model while fostering a safe and inclusive environment
- Demonstrate proven experience or strong enthusiasm for working as an SEN TA
- Show commitment to inclusive learning and best SEN practices
- Exhibit qualities of patience, empathy, and resilience
- Be a team player with excellent communication skills
- Bring a proactive, flexible, and solution-focused approach to challenges
- Qualified Teaching Assistant OR relevant SEN background
- Experience or training with PECS, Makaton, ASD, SLD, and complex needs
- Level 1 Safeguarding Certificate
- Recent school-based references
- Valid photo (Driving Licence or Passport)
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
