Finance Assistant - Sutton Coldfield

£28,000 - £32,000 DOE | Monday - Friday 09:00 - 17:00 | Permanent Role

Are you an experienced Finance Assistant looking for a stable, long-term opportunity within a supportive and growing business?

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established, family-run company based in the Sutton Coldfield area. This is a fantastic permanent opportunity to join the business and directly support the Finance Manager.

• £28,000 - £32,000 depending on skills and experience

• Discretionary bonus scheme

• Monday to Friday working hours (09:00 - 17:00)

• Permanent position within a growing business

• Supportive team environment

• Prepare payroll inputs for employees and directors

• Assist with PAYE/NIC, pensions and SSP

• Maintain payroll records and resolve pay queries

• Support UK and Export month-end procedures

• Assist with bank account management, including foreign currency accounts

• Reconcile the cashbook regularly

• Assist in preparing VAT returns

• Support HMRC submissions

• Liaise with auditors during fieldwork

• Prepare schedules and documentation for annual accounts

• Maintain and reconcile the Sales Ledger monthly

• Previous finance or accounts experience

• AAT qualification (or equivalent)

• Strong attention to detail

• Confident using Excel

• Experience with accounting software
