Level 3 ICT Apprentice About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated ICT Apprentice to join our ICT team and start a career in IT.
This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while working towards a Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship
. You'll work alongside experienced ICT professionals, supporting colleagues across our care services and offices while developing the technical and customer service skills needed for a successful career in IT.
You'll be involved in day‑to‑day IT support, setting up devices, maintaining IT equipment, assisting with Microsoft 365 administration and supporting ICT projects across the business.
What You'll Do- Provide first-line IT support to colleagues by phone, email and in person.
- Log, investigate and resolve IT support requests within agreed service levels.
- Escalate more complex technical issues to senior members of the ICT team.
- Configure and deploy laptops, desktops, mobile phones and tablets.
- Create, update and remove user accounts and access permissions.
- Support Microsoft 365 applications and Windows devices.
- Assist with maintaining IT hardware, software and asset records.
- Help install and configure printers, monitors and other IT equipment.
- Support office openings, relocations and ICT implementation projects.
- Work with third‑party suppliers where required.
- Visit care services and offices to provide on‑site support when needed.
- Follow ICT policies, cyber security procedures and data protection requirements.
- A genuine interest in IT and technology.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
- A positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
- Good problem‑solving skills.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- GCSE (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or willingness to achieve these as part of the apprenticeship).
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- Basic knowledge of Windows 11.
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and networking.
- Awareness of cyber security and safe working practices.
- A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle, or working towards obtaining one.
You will complete the Level 3 Information Communications Technician Apprenticeship Standard
, gaining practical experience alongside structured training delivered by an approved apprenticeship provider.
The role includes occasional travel to offices and care services across England and Wales. A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle would be an advantage.
The role also involves setting up, moving and installing IT equipment, which may require manual handling.
