Parts Assistant Sutton Coldfield Salary: £28,000 £ 30,000 basic per annum

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous parts experience gained within a mechanical environment. You could come from the motor trade, commercial vehicles, plant, heavy machinery, material handling or a similar mechanical industry . Working closely with the Parts Supervisor, the successful Parts Assistant will support the day-to-day running of the department, helping with parts administration, stock control and parts requests, while ensuring technicians and other departments receive the correct parts efficiently.

Parts Assistant Responsibilities Assist with the day-to-day running of the parts department Process internal and external parts requests Order and source parts when required Receive, check and correctly store incoming stock Update internal systems and maintain accurate parts records Assist with stock control and inventory management Complete general administration and paperwork Liaise with technicians and other departments regarding parts requirements Work closely with the Parts Supervisor to ensure an efficient parts operation Maintain a clean, organised and accurate parts department Parts Assistant Requirements Previous experience working with parts within a mechanical environment

Experience with in automotive, commercial vehicles, plant, heavy machinery, material handling or a similar sector Good administration and computer skills Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Parts ordering or stock control experience would be advantageous Ability to prioritise workload within a busy environment Good communication and team-working skills Positive and proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and develop This Parts Assistant position would suit someone looking to build a long-term career within parts, particularly someone who already has a good understanding of mechanical components and enjoys combining administration with a busy parts environment.
