Location: HMP Downview (SM2)

Salary: £11,523.20 based on 16hrs per week*

Contract: Part Time - Permanent

We are seeking a dedicated Cleaning Operative to join our team at HMP Downview, a closed category female prison. You will work with a supportive and driven team to maintain a safe and nurturing environment. Your role will involve collaborating with a range of specialists, including plumbers, electricians, carpenters, painters, and fellow cleaners, to ensure the facility operates smoothly and safely.

Perform general cleaning duties across the prison, adhering to COSHH and health & safety regulations. Manage cleaning schedules, maintain equipment and supplies, and cooperate with other maintenance staff to support the overall operational integrity of the institution.

• Experience of working within a cleaning environment
• Knowledge of COSHH
• Knowledge of relevant health and safety requirements
• Excellent organisational, time management and people skills

Holidays: 25 days per year plus bank holidays.
