Responsibilities

Reporting into the PTT Enabling Manager, the PTT Day Technician Supervisor will form a crucial part for the delivery of water infra & non-infra network interventions using temporary supply equipment.

  • Directly manage technicians in day‑to‑day operations, managing performance, safety and owning complex interventions.
  • Deploy and operate equipment to ensure end‑to‑end delivery of multiple interventions across the water network, liaising with project engineers and managers.
  • Interface with multiple teams to prioritise site coverage and carry out interventions using specialist equipment and the water distribution network.
  • Act as a key player in an integrated team of internal and external water experts, owning the end‑to‑end process from intervention planning to delivery of temporary network solutions using specialist equipment and methods.
  • Maintain and use towable generators, booster trailers, LBCs, HGVs, valve release equipment and confined spaces equipment.
  • Work closely with interventions, repair and maintenance, and local R&B teams to deliver the most efficient approach for customers.
  • Operate from Minworth STW based with the Network Response Team, working an 8.5‑hour day Monday to Friday.
Qualifications

Require a good understanding of a clean water distribution network and the ability to operate and implement network interventions. Must have a strong background in the configuration and controls of the water network, troubleshooting system failures, and implementing temporary supply resolutions.

  • Practical knowledge and experience operating the water distribution network; natural problem‑solver.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience is preferred; however, the role offers development opportunities.
  • Demonstrated character, positivity and a caring attitude.
  • Must hold a C+E HGV licence and be able to utilise roll‑on/roll‑off lorries (training provided).
