We are working in partnership with a leading plastic injection moulding manufacturer that is looking to appoint an Assistant Operations Manager to support the day-to-day management of its production facility. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced manufacturing professional with a strong background in plastic injection moulding to take ownership of production performance, quality standards, labour utilisation, and continuous improvement initiatives within a fast-paced environment.

Assistant Operations Manager

Job Description

Lead and support daily production operations, ensuring output, efficiency, and KPI targets are consistently achieved
Drive machine performance by coordinating tool changes, minimising downtime, and reducing waste across production areas
Manage labour utilisation and workforce allocation to maximise productivity and control operational costs
Ensure high-quality standards are maintained through adherence to SOPs, employee training, and continuous monitoring of production processes
Champion continuous improvement, housekeeping, and employee engagement initiatives to enhance operational performance and workplace standards

Assistant Operations Manager
Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications

Previous experience within a plastic injection moulding manufacturing environment is essential
Proven leadership experience within a production, operations, or manufacturing management role
Strong understanding of production KPIs, quality standards, lean manufacturing principles, and continuous improvement methodologies
Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and communication skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
Experience managing labour efficiency, production performance, and operational costs within a fast-paced manufacturing setting
