HGV Class 1 Driver

Overview

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Birmingham area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.

Trunking - Monday to Friday (21:00 start)

Linehaul - Saturday (2:00 start)

Class 1 Trunking - £15.36 per hour PAYE

Linehaul - £17.75 per hour PAYE

Unit 1, First Avenue, Off Forge Lane, Minworth, Birmingham B76 1BA

Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate

Class 1 Shunter:
Performing shunting in the yard (competent at reversing). You will also be required to collect freight for the Inverness route.

Class 1 Linehaul:
Trunking a local route covering Redditch and Coventry hub and Birmingham Depot (18:30 start). Linehaul route to Carlisle (2:00 start).

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• 6 months minimum experience required
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
• Excellent communication skills.
• A safety-first mindset.
