Teacher, Teacher Assistant​/ Paraprofessional

We are seeking a teacher who is passionate, who can be flexible and embrace a challenge. We would very much recommend and welcome you for a visit, so that you can meet us and understand our community.

This is a fixed term position starting on the 4th January 2027 until the 31st August 2027.

Our warm and welcoming academy has a talented team of experienced teaching and support staff, and an academy sponsor with a reputation for ensuring progress and development for all pupils.

• Has experience of raising attainment in a differentiated classroom
• Has an understanding of the strategies needed to establish consistently high aspirations and standards of results and behaviour
• Is motivated to continually improve standards and achieve excellence
• Is enthusiastic, confident, positive, self-motivated and determined
• Has a commitment to the safeguarding and welfare of all pupils and providing equality of opportunity

• Experience in Key Stage 2 would be beneficial

We are a primary academy for pupils aged 3-11 years based in Sutton-in-Ashfield with over 300 pupils. In our latest Ofsted inspection, we were rated ‘good’ in three of the five areas with comments that ‘Hillocks is a warm and friendly school. Staff have created an environment that makes pupils feel happy, safe, and welcome. It is a place where children come first.’
