Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change. This salary is below the minimum salary required for sponsorship for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa. In these circumstances the Trust would not, therefore, be able to sponsor for a Skilled Worker / Health & Care visa.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
Main duties of the jobWe are seeking a dedicated Facilities Assistant to join our team covering various Community Sites across Mansfield. This is a full‑time Fixed Term for 12 months role working 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday, hours to be negotiated at interview.
Responsibilities- Cleaning and maintaining all areas to a high standard of hygiene and cleanliness in line with infection control and health and safety guidelines.
- Support with portering tasks as needed.
- Undergo full training across all relevant duties; uniform will be supplied.

Person Specification Qualifications- An understanding of cleanliness and good hygiene practices
- Recognised catering, cleaning or support services qualification
- Ability to undertake all mandatory training as required by the individual site
- Ability to undertake any necessary skills and competency training required by the post
- Able to carry out instructions as detailed in the job description
- Experience or working within a catering, portering or cleaning environment
- Experience of working within a healthcare environment which may include: a catering, cleaning or portering function.
- Experience of working within a food safety management system (HACCP)
- Understanding of commitment to the equality and diversity principles
- Basic knowledge of Health and Safety
