We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy professional to lead and innovate in pharmacy stores and distribution. The role involves overseeing procurement, storage and distribution of medicines across Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and external clients.

Responsibilities include:

planning and managing pharmacy supplies, supervising staff, ensuring compliance with regulations, facilitating training, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

• NVQ 3 in Pharmaceutical Science or equivalent accepted by the General Pharmaceutical Council
• QCF Assessor award
• Supervisory qualification

• Procurement qualification

• Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
• In-house Recruitment and Selection training
• In-house Appraisal training

• Significant post‑qualification hospital experience
• Significant supervisory experience
• Significant stores/purchasing experience
• Significant experience of training and competency assessment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiating and persuasive skills

• Regular attendance
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and bank holidays
• Ability to carry out duties as outlined in the job description

• Knowledge of COSHH regulations
• IT skills
• Specialist expert knowledge of pharmaceutical technical practice and equivalent degree level
• Knowledge of Wholesaler dealer's licence and Good Distribution Practice
• Knowledge of pharmacy ordering systems
• Knowledge of pharmacy distribution systems

• In‑patient dispensary procedures
