* Recruiting now on behalf of a Birmingham Care Home
* Permanent Day Healthcare Assistant to join a small care setting based in Erdington, Birmingham. The home specialises in caring for adults with;
Dementia, Learning Disabilities, Autism, Epilepsy, Mental Health conditions, Complex Needs, and individuals requiring PEG feeding.
What You’ll Do:
Support the residents with their daily needs;
Feeding, Personal care, Companionship Working in a team with a registered nurse and other healthcare professionals Deliver personalised care tailored to individual needs Support residents with PEG feeding and other nutritional needs Promote dignity, independence, and choice in daily care Maintain high standards of health & safety throughout the home Perform regular wellbeing and safety checks Assist at mealtimes – preparing snacks or providing support with feeding Use manual handling equipment safely and confidently Keep accurate records (daily logs, care charts, etc.)
Build meaningful relationships with residents and team members Your Set Rota (12-Hour Day Shifts): 08:00 - 20:00 Week 1:
Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday Week 2:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Week 3:
Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday Week 4:
Wednesday, Thursday, Friday To be considered, you must be able to commit to this rotating schedule
What You’ll Need:
Previous experience in a Healthcare Assistant role (Minimum 6 months- UK based) Confident in using manual handling equipment Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) A positive, proactive attitude and a team player mindset Proof of eligibility to work in the UK
