Deputy Home Manager – Maternity Cover (Until July 2027)
42 Hours per Week | £35,000 per annum | Kingfisher Court, Sutton-in-Ashfield
We are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for an experienced and compassionate Deputy Home Manager to join our team at Kingfisher Court, a modern, purpose-built Anchor care home in Sutton-in-Ashfield. This is a fixed-term maternity cover position until the end of March 2027, working 42 hours per week on a two-week rolling rota.
Shift Pattern:
Week 1:
Monday, Tuesday, Saturday & Sunday
Week 2:
Wednesday, Thursday & Friday
Hours:
8:00am – 8:00pm
Kingfisher Court is a 66-bed residential and dementia care home that has been rated 'Good' by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) across all five inspection areas and holds an outstanding 9.7/10 rating on , reflecting the exceptional care and support provided to our residents.
As Deputy Home Manager, you'll work closely with the Home Manager to lead and inspire the care team, ensuring the delivery of safe, effective and person-centred care while maintaining the highest standards of quality and compliance. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Care Team Leader ready to progress into management or an established Deputy Home Manager looking for a new challenge with one of the UK's largest not-for-profit providers of housing and care for older people.
About the Role
As Deputy Home Manager, you will:
- Support the Home Manager with the day-to-day leadership and operational management of the home.
- Lead, motivate and develop the care team to deliver outstanding, person-centred care.
- Ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding legislation and Anchor policies.
- Monitor care quality through regular audits, medication checks, supervisions and action planning.
- Promote a positive culture that places residents, families and colleagues at the heart of everything we do.
- Support recruitment, induction, coaching and performance management of colleagues.
- Deputise for the Home Manager in their absence, ensuring the continued delivery of high-quality care and operational excellence.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience in a senior care leadership role within a residential or dementia care setting.
- Holds, or is working towards, a Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care, with a willingness to work towards a Level 5 Leadership and Management qualification if not already achieved.
- Has a strong understanding of CQC standards, safeguarding, medication management and quality assurance.
- Is an effective leader with excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Has a genuine passion for delivering exceptional, person-centred care.
- Can confidently support colleagues, residents and families while maintaining high standards across the home.
